Mariam started at the Kavli Centre after conducting a PhD thesis in Astrophysics at the University of Manchester’s Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics. Before that, she was at Durham for her undergraduate in Physics, with a year also in Osaka, Japan. In her free time, she loves sewing, and makes her own costumes to wear to comic conventions in the UK and abroad.
